When you attempt to transfer a domain name, you
might come across the following status in the Order details view of the domain
name after the Administrative Contact has approved the transfer:
Action Requested: Transfer of
<domain name> from old Registrar along with 1
year Renewal
Action Status: Action waiting for domain to be unlocked.
This implies that the domain name you are
trying to transfer has been locked by the current Registrar. In this state, you
need to unlock the domain name with the current Registrar before the transfer
can be processed further. The system automatically checks every hour if the
domain name has been unlocked, and processes the transfer (once the domain name
is unlocked).
IMPORTANT
1. If this domain name is a .COM/.NET domain name,
then you may click on either the
- Retry button - if you have unlocked your
domain name and immediately want the
Transfer to proceed
- Cancel button - if you choose to fail this
Transfer
2. The Transfer order would automatically fail if the
domain name is not unlocked within a period of 7 days (from the moment its corresponding Invoice is settled).
3. Transfer of a .EU domain name can never
be locked in processing on account of our system awaiting the domain name to
be unlocked, since
a .EU Domain Name can not be locked.
